Abstract

As China’s economy and population continue to grow, technological innovations that mitigate the impact of economic development and repair the damage caused by these changes will be critical to China’s efforts toward more sustainable development. In response to its environmental problems, China’s 12th Five Year Plan includes steps to boost the environmental protection industry by creating targets for environmental standards and financing as well as regulating companies producing core environmental products.
