Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to analyse and discuss the nature and characteristics of the interaction established between the national and the European levels of media policy-making and regulation. An assessment of the impact of the European Union (EU) on the construction of the Croatian media policy is presented in the light of the Croatian efforts to accept and promote media freedom and independence.
