Abstract
Americans’ attitudes toward LGBT issues are projected to continue shifting through the twenty-first century.2 According to scholars, polling data, and pundits, Americans are showing increasing support for issues such as the right to marry and the elimination of barriers in federal immigration for LGBT persons, among other issues.3 In addition, a number of national polls have found that, generally speaking, Americans’ attitudes toward nonheterosexuals are increasingly positive.4
