In the English language there are almost 30,000 words and countless more expressions to describe personality traits. Hearing someone described as cold, callous, kind, tender-hearted, lazy, diligent, likeable or anti-social gives us clues to their character and preferences, whether we will like them and how they might respond to a variety of roles and situations.
