Abstract

This brief conclusion brings together the main findings of the book, particularly in relation to the diversity and complexity of contemporary configurations of the unborn assemblage and the ways in which it interacts with the maternal assemblage. Alternative ways of thinking about the relationship between the unborn and maternal assemblages are suggested. This conclusion also discusses the debate in feminist theory between those who espouse the relational perspective on the unborn and the women who contribute to their creation and those who challenge it.
