Abstract
The three preceding chapters when taken together provide a detailed analysis of the Conservative Party’s making of economic policy between 1964 and 1997. The task of this chapter is slightly different. Covering events which have occurred since the Tories were ejected from office in 1997, it seeks to put the developments of this period into the context of what came before and thereby provide something of status update on the Conservative Party’s political economy at the time of writing in 2013.
