Abstract
This last chapter will tackle some aspects connected with the issue of who, within an organisation, is to carry out the scenario building and planning activity, and how. A preliminary point to clarify is whether SBP is an occasional or regular pursuit for the organisation. In the former case, the best approach is probably to appoint an internal working team of people involved in the problem which the scenario has to address and, for the rest, hire an external expert or consultant to do the job. The internal team will define the aim of the scenario exercise, keep regularly in touch with the external expert, be it a single person or a team, and check the progress made. The external consultant will choose and apply the particular methodology to use in the case. Once the scenario exercise is finished, the job is done and what remains to do is to sell the outcome to the powers that be in the organisation, so that it becomes a real foundation for the relevant strategy.
