Abstract
At the time of writing, there exist predominantly separate theoretical and empirical literatures on antisocial behaviour (incorporating aggression and violence) on one hand, and animal cruelty on the other hand. The primary aim of this book is to extend an empirically supported argument that animal cruelty behaviours fit logically and comfortably into existing theories of antisocial behaviour, thereby arguing for a harmonious marriage between these two separate literatures.
