Abstract
The Oslo era from 1993 to 2000 left an Arab- Israeli conflict with a substantially different reality than prior to the era, new lessons for US government officials due to their unprecedented sustained level of involvement in Arab- Israeli negotiations, and especially a new reality for ties between US Jews and the State of Israel. Those changes and lessons, this study has shown, are successfully understood by reflecting and analyzing the multiple shifts in American Jewish life during the period under study.
