Abstract

Before looking at the Islamic Finance education programmes (IFEPs) at various higher education institutions in the West, it is important to present a global picture of the development and current state of the IFE phenomenon. The major aim is to gather as much accurate information as possible to provide a well-documented track of its features and trends. It should be noted that the term ‘Islamic Finance higher education’, in this chapter, refers to an educational programme leading to a specialized degree in IF.
