Abstract

Many of the 15 essays collected here were originally presented over the last 30 years at conferences on Wordsworth and Coleridge, some printed in various journals—here updated and revised for contemporary readers. During the same period, I have been writing and publishing poetry, which is related in many ways to the critical work I was doing at that time. A selection of poetry is appended.
