Abstract
What is the connection between the work of the neuroscientists, studying the internal architecture and workings of the brain, and the thesis of this book, namely, that religious experience (with all the important distinctions and qualifications in Chapter 4 and to come) can rationally be accepted, by those who participate in it, as awareness of a transcendent reality or realities?
