Abstract
This book focuses on international economic regimes, their impact on developing countries and contemporary negotiations spearheaded by developing countries to create structures and rules, or regimes that are relatively fair and equitable. In a large and diverse group, it is near impossible to devise structures that optimize the interests of all and at best there can be a balance between the interests and needs of developed countries and those of developing countries. Categorizing countries in two groups is conventional and useful even though we cannot overlook the diversity within each group, especially the latter that includes the high-income developing countries to the least developed countries and many groups in between.
