The editors of that issue observed: ‘This past decade has witnessed the emergence and dissemination of discussions around prosthesis as an historical, philosophical, technological, political, ethical, and medical concern’ (Smith and Morra 5).The trend pointed out here does not show any sign of waning even now. Prosthesis has indeed been discussed in diverse fields including, above all, literature, philosophy and critical theory.
