Abstract

This final chapter is divided into four sections. In the first section, the ‘state of the art’ of research into post-16 choice is considered, alongside recommendations for improving the quality of work in the area. The second section briefly summarises findings in the area that have been consistently documented by independent studies. The contribution of this study assessed in relation to these two discussions is then considered, before implications for policy and practice are explored.
