Abstract

This chapter explores the relationship between educational inputs, in a broad sense, and outputs to explore the determinants of students’ cognitive achievements. Doing so provides the context for studying the impact of Tameer-i-Millat Foundation (TMF) on the cognitive skills of children over a one-year time period. In the next section, we introduce TMF as the organization responsible for the implementation of the education component of the Human Development Foundation (HDF) project. In section 3, we briefly report on the survey details and data collection. In section 4, we describe the analytical method used and in section 5, we discuss the findings based on the quantitative data analysis and reports of the field anthropologist. We conclude with a summary.
