Abstract

As explained in the preface, APPNA Sehat (APPNA) is the partner responsible for the health interventions as part of the Human Development Foundation’s (HDF) integrated development interventions in Mardan.1 Also, as mentioned earlier, APPNA’s interventions in the project area pre-date HDF’s entry, and the project’s design anticipated that APPNA’s prior presence would facilitate HDF in introducing its integrated development approach to the locality. APPNA’s mission is to work on preventive health care programs in rural areas, with an emphasis on maternal and child health care.
