Abstract

The various chapters of this book have focused on different things at different times in order to advance the perspective and practice of embodied enquiry. At times it has reflected on the nature of embodied enquiry directly in relation to qualitative research methodology, psychotherapy, or spirituality. When doing this, it has always acknowledged its historical roots in the phenomenological tradition, and its central indebtedness to the thought of Eugene Gendlin. At other times it has concentrated on demonstrating the practice of embodied enquiry in more implicit ways by practicing embodied enquiry to see what themes and insights are opened up in relation to the three topics.
