Abstract
Fedor Godunov, son of Boris, succeeded as tsar, as Fedor II, for a few months in 1605 but was assassinated by the followers of the pretender Dmitry. False Dmitry I ruled for less than a year 1605–06 and was murdered by followers of Vasily Shuysky who was tsar 1606–10, who in turn was deposed. An interregnum followed 1610–13.
