Abstract
Religious traditions have a powerful impact on how people view their money. Consider, for example, the Islamic rules on bank interest and usury. Consider the behavior of the Amish, or indeed many Christians who still give tithes. Faith is ultimately related to values about things in this world as much as things beyond it. It dictates how people see the rich and the poor, and how people desire to acquire and spend their money.
