Abstract
These new principles of the New Direction gave us the oppor- tunity to move forward, to develop a more truthful picture of the pre-history of the October Revolution and, in general, to move towards a more profound, rounded understanding of the history of the development of the first quarter of the twen- tieth century — the most complex, contradictory, tragic and dramatic period in the history of Russia/
