Decent Care for People Living with HIV: What Are We Waiting For?

  • Chapter
Restoring Hope

Abstract

It is an old truism that a society is only as healthy as its sickest members. One can judge the humanity of individuals and societies by how well they treat those who are weakest and most vulnerable. Together, these two concepts provide a global lens through which to view the concept of decent care. Decent care is a belief that access to health should be universal and within the reach of even the most marginalized individuals.
