Abstract

When IESE Business School was founded 50 years ago, many of the participants who attended our first management education programs were family business owners, and that continues to be the case today. So, when IESE decided to mark its fiftieth anniversary in 2007–8, it seemed only natural that we focus attention once again on family business, a subject close to our hearts throughout our history.
