Engineering the foreign policy of a new independent state: the case of Macedonia, 1990–6

  • Chapter
The New Macedonian Question

Part of the book series: St Antony’s Series ((STANTS))

Abstract

In an already wide range of memoirs, studies and publications on the dissolution and death of Yugoslavia, Macedonia is only occasionally mentioned as an agent and participant in that process. Even in Macedonia itself only one study has been published so far, examining in depth the Macedonian policy and developments in the course of emancipation from the former Yugoslav Federation (Milosavlevski, 1996).
