Abstract

The standards and codes programme is an important part of current efforts to reinforce the international financial system. In terms of the conventional crisis prevention/crisis resolution distinction, it sits most naturally on the crisis prevention side of the fence, although some standards – for example, relating to insolvency arrangements – are very relevant to the process of crisis resolution.
