Developing from PPP to TBL: A Focused Grammar Task
I teach a grammar module for which teachers in Greece normally use a prescriptive ‘Presentation — Practice — Production’ approach. Because I wanted to make a smooth shift to teaching grammar through task-based learning, I chose to incorporate tasks selectively into my syllabus. I wanted my students to understand the meaning and use of the second type of conditional, so I assigned a task that involved personal experience: creating their own personality quiz.
