Abstract
This book sets out to explore some of the issues, problems and controversies facing youth researchers today. It is not a methods manual as such, but instead each contributor provides an account of some of the challenges they faced undertaking actual youth research and how these methodological issues were resolved. By grounding these methodological discussions in concrete examples of youth research, it is intended to provide the reader with an insight into what at times can seem a rather opaque process. By making transparent some of the dilemmas facing youth researchers it is hoped that this volume will go some way in aiding the research undertaken by the many students, policy-makers and practitioners now working in the field of youth studies.
