Accreditation to the UN through Rules and Regulations — Institutionalization as an External Demand
Changes in the patterns of activity between societal actors and official institutions can result from external demands. As discussed in the theoretical section, the notion of institutionalization also refers to formalized principles by which interaction between societal actors and official institutions is officially recognized. In this study, external demands are understood as the rules and regulations for the relationship between NGOs and the UN.
