Abstract
Initiated particularly by France1 and strengthened and expanded with the accession of the United Kingdom in the Community, the Lomé Agreements have been based on a compromise of interests between, inter alia, member states that formerly colonized territories in the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.
