Abstract
Feminist writing on IVF and the NRTs constitutes an extensive, heterogeneous and constantly evolving body of work and, as such, the feminist approach articulated here should be understood as a contribution to that body of work, rather than attempting to make a definitive statement in relation to it. My goal here, then, is not to speak for feminism or feminists, but to set out an approach for thinking about the NRTs through feminism in a way that allows an explicitly political situatedness to augment the analytical possibilities of social science research in this field.
