Abstract

Suffixation is the most productive means of word formation in Nuuchahnulth. There are hundreds of suffixes of various types interacting and combining to form the word. Since the bulk of affixation in Nuuchahnulth is suffixation, this will be the sole subject of this chapter, which is divided into the three categories of inflection, aspect, and derivation.
