Abstract
This chapter moves attention from the collection of the data towards the representation of what the researcher has been able to discover from it. The core of the chapter is concerned with data analysis and is designed to highlight the important considerations and approaches in this vital phase of qualitative research. It should enable you to approach analysis with confidence and with an appreciation of the challenges that face you, but no attempt is made to summarise the full range of possible approaches since this is a task that would go far beyond the scope of a chapter such as this. Table 6.1 highlights the issues that it addresses.
