The discussion in the book has presented and critiqued three traditions of compassion — the divine model, the universal model, and the human model — and closed with a proposed fourth, alternative model: radical compassion. To conclude, I will revisit for a brief analysis the first two traditional models on the background of Modernism’s two Suppositions and, then, all three models in light of radical compassion.
