Abstract

Luis Bolín sat in the rear-gunner’s turret of one of the Italian Savoias. He might well be satisfied with his achievement. He had organised the flight of the Dragon Rapide to bring Franco to Morocco to take command of Spain’s elite troops. Now he was coming back from Italy with the best of one of the most modern air forces in the world to protect Franco’s convoys as they took his troops over to Spain.
