Abstract
Having, in Chapter 5, described a number of the characteristics of MNE’s overseas R&D laboratories, and having broadly discerned the nature of the roles played by them, this chapter looks in more detail at the factors which have generated the growth of these units and which have helped to define their contribution to their group’s operations.
