Abstract

On 2 February 1903 the Daily News carried a letter to the Editor by Shaw. There was nothing unusual in this; it was a run-of-the-mill letter of a kind that Shaw was dashing off at the time to this, that or the other national daily, yet we may pause on it for what it reveals of Fabian Shaw at this stage of his career. It is a convenient peg on which to hang a discussion of Shaw and the Society with which he identified himself.
