Sraffa’s Economics in Non-Classical Mathematical Modes

  • Chapter

Abstract

Besicovitch insists that I publich [Production of Commodities by Means of Com-modities2, [36]]; the fact that I was able to foresee interesting mathematical results shows that there must be something in the theory. Sraffa’s Diary Entry, 31 May, 19583

The late Richard Goodwin, Guglielmo Chiodi, Björn Thalberg and Stefano Zambelli are, alas, completely without any culpability for any and all of the infelicities in this paper. They, however, cannot be absolved from responsibility for having initiated and sustained my interest in the subjects dealt with in this paper. Needless to say, had they been in any way responsible for the contents, this would have been a much better paper.
