Abstract
The core message of this book is that the responsibility for change, whether he likes it or not, rests with each and every individual to take action to confront the company politics that detract from the productivity of the organisation. Whilst much has been said in the past decade about instilling a ‘Passion for Excellence’ in organisations by creating a culture of shared values and goals in a safe climate little has been said to mobilise passion and action on a personal level. This is one of the main reasons why conventional culture change programmes have been so ineffective in the long term.
