Abstract

We now turn to the problem of providing some answers to the same three questions addressed in Chapters 2 and 3, but by focusing only on poverty. Thus, this and the following two chapters tackle the questions of what causes poverty?; why has poverty changed?; and what can be done about the problem?, respectively.
