Abstract

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)1 is one of the largest international organizations in the world, second in size only to the United Nations. It is composed of 56 Muslim-majority states plus the Palestinian authority and constitutes the largest Islamic body in the world. It claims to represent approximately 1.5 billion Muslims across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.2
