Abstract
The voices of teachers located in Asia can represent situated examples of views of professional positioning. In this study, the local voices of both Japanese and non-Japanese teachers towards qualifications are investigated. As a common theme running through this section of the book, it is important to seek ways to effectively express those voices. This chapter puts forward a co-constructed semi-structured interview approach as a means to do so, and it may represent a viable methodology to possibly reveal similar concerns in other Asian contexts.
