Abstract
This chapter is the central part of the book. To facilitate the reader’s understanding we anticipate here by way of executive summary the main points to be addressed.
In accordance with the different perspectives advanced in Chapters 2, 3, 4 and 5 we propose a theoretical framework to analyse and interpret our thesis: (1) that there is a difference in the management thinking used by (Eastern) Asians and Westerners and (2) that such a difference is explicable if we view it from the angle of inductive and deductive ways of thinking.
