Abstract
Companies in the green technology sector need to be innovative to survive. Yet Eureka moments tend to be experienced by scientists and other highly qualified, highly skilled employees, not by low-skilled workers. A highly qualified workforce is the foundation for success in increasingly competitive industries. Without these bright staff, companies in the green technology sector will not be able to flourish. Gone are the days when the environmental technology segment involved mainly labor-intensive services such as waste management and recycling. Today it is one of the most innovative sectors in the world, covering the lead markets of environmentally friendly power generation and storage, energy efficiency, material efficiency, waste management and recycling, sustainable water management, and sustainable mobility.Companies in the green technology sector need to be innovative to survive.
