Abstract
Japan aims to cut the volume of its greenhouse gas emissions by 25 percent by 2020 from its 1990 level. Although it is strongly reliant on nuclear energy, it has a lively, well-established solar market with a great deal of technological expertise and inventive service models. Japan has long been a green technology pioneer. Its world-class high-technology products are not cheap. Only by churning out a steady supply of advanced groundbreaking products and technologies can it hope to shine in the international marketplace.
