Abstract

The United States, long known for its gas-guzzling sport utility vehicles (SUVs), monster suburban homes, and seemingly insatiable energy appetite, is emerging as a serious contender in the green technology sector. Green business is one of the vanguard recipients of what has been dubbed the New Green Deal, the government’s stimulus package to generate jobs, encourage inventive technology, and stimulate investment. E-mobility offers the US automotive industry a windfall chance to reinvent itself. This country’s vast natural resources make it ideal for wind and solar energy. Energy and environmental policy are increasingly becoming codependent. The common goal is to establish US energy independence while preserving the environment and protecting business interests.
