Abstract
The following case study is an opportunity for you to analyze an evolving adversarial situation in a fictional workplace and determine how you could respond to the action as it develops. In the case study an employee is promoted to the post of training manager to work with the top team in a fictional clothing manufacturer. The challenges before him include navigating the political alliances among the top team members and finding ways of working effectively with an increasingly adversarial senior manager. The case study focuses on the relationships between the newly promoted training manager, one of his new internal clients, the brand manager, and his boss, the sales director.
