Struggle at the Myitkyina Line

Abstract

I was transferred to the command of 3rd Battalion from regimental adjutant, and arrived at Kotanpo on 17 February 1944. Four battalions of 5th Railway Regiment were spread along 586 kilometres of the Myitkyina line after finishing the construction of the Burma-Thailand Railway. My 3rd Battalion was responsible for the section from Kanbalu to Naba.
