Abstract
If we wish to find out more about the origins of our family, the obvious way is to try and find the links between previous generations and set up a family tree. This is not always an easy task as it can be difficult to trace specific generations, but at least we know that a set pattern of descent exists and it is a question of finding the information which can fill in the missing links.
