Abstract

Certainly, prevention is better than cure. For some organizations, diagnosis is harder than treatment. It can take organizations some time to realize that individual senior managers and leaders are driving them on the path to disaster. This is particularly the case when failing leaders have had such a “stellar career”, where they have appeared to have the Midas touch. Alas, that Midas touch can so easily look like the false claims of alchemy.
