Abstract
Through most of this text-to-world analysis of the Harry Potter books I have suggested that there is an underlying theme that connects up observations about races, servitude, sexual desire, class, advertisements made above; and that this underlying theme would take me back to the preoccupation with unthinkingness with which this essay started. It also leads to a possible explanation of the Harry Potter phenomenon. In this chapter I attempt finally to place this essay as a whole where it belongs — in our world. This concluding chapter is the place to make that underlying theme explicit, and to weave the various threads drawn out in the above analysis together. I begin this chapter therefore with a straightforward statement of that underlying theme.
